Financial Literacy Workshop
Currently Active This free workshop is designed to support low-income individuals by teaching essential budgeting skills with a strong focus on making rent payments a financial priority. Participants will learn to distinguish between needs and wants, navigate income fluctuations, and build a practical 6-month financial action plan. The session includes: Easy-to-use budgeting tools and strategies Discussion on rent prioritization and reducing family financial stress A guided activity to create a self-managed financial plan A take-home list of local rent banks, housing services, and financial support resources ⚠️ Important: This workshop is educational only. Facilitators do not provide personal financial advice or collect any personal financial information. This program supports our charitable mission by advancing education, relieving poverty, and offering practical, accessible support with no commercial interest. ❗ Attendance is mandatory for all ECF Applicants. Rental Assistance Program • Short-term rent support to help prevent eviction and housing loss. Payments would be made directly to landlords following strict eligibility screening. Employment & Life Skills Training • Low-barrier job readiness and digital skills training including resume writing, interview prep, and mentorship—prioritized for individuals facing employment challenges. Pathways to Restoration • A holistic support program designed to guide individuals from homelessness to housing.
